6.42pm: An Italian newspaper has reported that one person was in critical condition after being taken to hospital in Huron Valley on Saturday evening.
According to La Repubblica, the patient was a man in his early 20s, aged in his 40s, who was in a stable condition.
He was transported by a private vehicle to the hospital in the town of Liguria, where he was later transferred to the city’s main hospital.
A spokesman for the town’s emergency department, who asked to remain anonymous, told the paper that the patient, who had been in a critical condition for about an hour, was “very alert”.
La Repubbllica said that the person was conscious and breathing but did not have a pulse.
In another incident, a police officer was reportedly injured when he tried to stop a driver in a car driven by a woman in Haton, near Rome, from speeding.
He suffered minor injuries and was treated in the hospital.
The paper reported that the woman, who has not been named, was allegedly driving without a licence and driving erratically.
