The Steelers are continuing to evaluate players on their physical condition, as safety and running back Mike Mitchell is expected to miss two to three weeks after being struck by a car on Sunday night.
The Steelers said Sunday that Mitchell is in stable condition and was released from the hospital.
The injury was Mitchell’s second of the season.
He is also dealing with a shoulder injury.
He missed three games with an undisclosed injury in the opener against the Eagles.
The team said Mitchell is still in the concussion protocol and has been unable to return to the game.
